Question

In CS6, can you find/change or search for: comma space any capital letter?

My author has decided that he does not want to use the convention where, within a sentence a character might be thinking and the thought is shown with an initial cap. Something like: Joseph thought to himself, What am I doing.

He would like to make the W a w!

Thanks for any help!!

    … Author has decided that he does not want to use standard style convention where thoughts in quotes are capitalized.

    =================

    The editor will probably shriek when they see it.

    A quoted thought should be capitalized. According to standard style guides, direct thoughts (especially those in quotation marks) are treated similarly to direct speech and should begin with a capital letter, even if they appear in mid-sentence.

    HINT: Before you make sweeping changes to the manuscript, save a previous copy you can revert to. Undoing those changes could be difficult.

    Good luck!
