Why, when using the forum, does it always jump back to page one when I use the back button on Internet Explorer when I have just read a topic on any higher page?Richard Knight
I seem to have picked up some extra characters on my user id, Admin please help.Richard Southworth
Today my user name has an added suffix. It is now Curt Y-EDSWS6.Where did the EDSWS6 come from and how do I get rid of it?It also changed my e-mail preferences to subscirbe to posts. (Which I changed back to NO)Edit - Posts I made today seem to have just Curt Y. So does that mean I have 2 identities?
.Hi John C. It's been suggested that I post this here (already in the Lounge)On Saturday something very odd happened. Not only did my avatar go AWOL, but so did my contribution history. My user name log-in correctly shows my Adobe purchases history, so I haven't accidentally signed in under a different account name.Something's definitely reset my forum profile! HELP!Is there a way of salvaging it? Thanks.
Not using my nornal computer, Firefox 5.0.1, while posting replies to the forum, and sometimes going to a new forum, I get:400 Bad RequestYour browser sent a request that this server could not undertand. Not quite sure what's up with that. I got that posting to the testing forum, and also posting to the InDesign General forum. I even got it just navigating to the Testing forum. In 2/3 cases, the post went through. In one case, it did not. (And hitting Back took me back to a blank page where my post was lost, argh!).Not sure if this is a new forum problem or somehow specific to this machine/browser, but I kind of doubt the latter. Anyhow, throwing it out there.
Hello I cannot delete the 'LIKE' BUTTON icon from the 'edit' section of the user-interface in ADOBE CONTRIBUTE, can anyone please help?I can delete anything else from the page but the 'like' icons remain static and cant be moved or deleted, very bizarre, anyone know how to remove them? Thanks
Holy crap, these forums are slow lately! My browser connects nearly instantly, as it should using a 15/5 FiOS line. But then it takes FOREVER (in computer terms) for the server to actually do it's job and serve the freakin' web page. 10, 20, 30 seconds is FAR too long, Adobe. 10, 20 30 MILLIseconds is what it should be.Please get that fixed.
In Stack Overflow, you can easily see if a user is going to acknowledge your help by looking at their acceptance rate. I am finding it frustrating, however, that my answers on the Adobe forums are often ignored in favor of answers I feel are leading the user in a wrong direction, simply because the other person giving an answer had more red "bars" under their name.I have helped many users, and many of them have come back and thanked me. However, none have marked my answers as correct or even helpful. I would like to concentrate on helping users who are willing to mark answers as correct or helpful, so that those bars reflect the amount of help I am actually giving. Where can I look to find out which users have a history of marking answers? Thanks;Amy
Just reporting that the forums are terribly slow over here right now. And I apologize, but this slowness and our efficient search engine made it impossible for me to find one of the previous threads with similar titles...
48 forums? Wow!! I guess this is going to be a big deal.
I have an online magazine which is published as a pdf file. I want to be able to track the advertisers hyperlinks. Checking with both Adobe.com and my hosting company I am lead to believe there is no way to track the click throughs of a pdf document. Is there a way to track these? If not, is there another adobe product which we could publish the magazine in to allow us to be able track the click throughs and forwards?Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.
Some minutes ago, I noticed this in a message in the PM forum:If I passed the cursor over the doubly underlined word in green, my browser showed an URL in the lower bar as it does when passing over a link. The URL was that of the thread where the message is,http://forums.adobe.com/thread/890923?tstart=0but with an added # sign at the end. If I clicked on the word, I received an unusual "not found" error which unfortunately I didn't register, but within a site which is unknown to me.The effect is gone now (the word is no longer underlined and in green, and there is no sign of an URL in my browser if I hover over it). If I paste the above link in a new window in my browser and add a # sign at the end, I am taken to the thread where the changing message is.I could swear I saw exactly the same effect yesterday, or early this morning, but I am not sure if this happened in this same message or in another one.Has anyone else seen the same thing? Does anyone know what this is -or was?
I'm subscribed to a bunch of forums but when I go to my main account's forum profile, it lists a diff. email address than the one the emails are going to, and says I'm not subscribed to any forums. So before posting that screen shot (as you guys recommend in the tech note) I'd like to log out of my main account (this one) and log in with what I think might be my "forum subscription account", but I've been searching for 20 minutes and can't find a log out button. Not even a "you're not anne-marie?" link. Where is the log out button/link?AM
Now sure what's causing this. Missing background images possibly?Everything in the background has gone gray.
I am not sure which adobe flash product I need for what my goals are. I'm interested in drawing and creating flash cartoons and I was wondering which adobe flash product is the best for being able to do that. Thank you.
I'm getting Cannot Post Now errors trying to post a long post in the Premiere Pro forum. But I get the same error posting 1 short paragraph in the testing forum?

I am aware that all threads contain a "Report Abuse" link. However is there also direct link for reporting spam/submitting additional comments? Those darned spammers are getting smarter ...
Hi,I trust this is the right place to post this suggestion. I'm a newbie. Today I wanted to post a question on the Acrobat for Windows forum. I had already logged in and could see my screen name in the top left corner. No matter where I clicked/looked, I could NOT find a way to post a question. After about wasting 1/2 hour, finally in extreme frustration, I called technical support. It was there that I learned that logging in with your user Adobe ID does NOT log you into the forums. This is sooooo counterintuitive it makes me want to rant. But, that isn't going to help the Adobe webpage designers make the website a better place. So, Adobe, if you are paying attention to this, I urge you to redesign the webpage. Either make the login ubiquitous across Adobe for the user, or add some clear instructions to the forum page that alerts the user they need to click on the login button again on the left side of the page. By the way, the support person I spoke to "bent the rules" to help me
Two years ago I purchased the Adobe CS4 suite at an educational discount (I work at Columbia Univ.) that came to over four hundred dollars. After going through what seemed like an overwrought and needlessly complicated procedure to get a serial number, I installed the software. Recently I upgraded to a new computer and discovered that the email that contained the serial number had been inadvertently deleted. So I called Adobe to get it again. Even though I had registered the product and even though the person on the other end of the phone had all my information in his database, he refused to give me a serial number unless I could "prove" that I purchased it. This means tracking down the purchase on a two year old American Express statement, but even then I was led to believe by the Adobe employee that this might not be good enough. God knows what they are looking for.In all my years of purchasing software *legally*, I have never run into such a brick wall. I am thoroughly disgusted and
I was recently in a fire (December 2010) and my Creative Suite Design Premium Student Edition was destroyed along with my new MacBook Pro. I have contacted Adobe since April 20111 to try to acquire a replacement and have had no luck. First off, I have received automated responses are that are not even a live person. For example, I explained my situation and that I obviously don't have my serial numbers anymore because they were detroyed in the fire. Adobe's response, here are your serial numbers, I am sorry you are having a hard time installing your software. Does that sound like a live person or perhaps a person that does not care.Secondly, I submitted my proof of purchase (my mom had purchased the computer and Suite for me). All the information was available right on the sheet I submitted. They came back and asked me for the e-mail address of my mother so they could look up her student account. This was after I explained I was the stude
