Running gx280 Dell Optiplex , Flash keeps shutting down firefox whenever a game  is loading , have only had this problem since updated to firefox 3.6.6. would like to revert back to the older version althou cannot find the download also i have tried to  do system restore but to no avail  ... any suggestions would be appreciated Bluey09

I want to download Adobe Digital Edition free software onto my PC.  I am a government employee and I am not authorized to download anything without permission from my IT section.  They infomed me that I need to obtain verification from the software manufacturer that the product meets the specific criteria established by the Federal Desktop Core Configuration (FDCC).  I attempted to contact customer service at Adobe and was told that since the software is free they will not provide any formal documentation.  I have the form which I will attach a jpg picture of below.  I would like to see if there is someone that can verify the software meet the government criteria.  Once I have the information requested on the document I can get my IT section to authorize me access to download the product.  If anyone can assit me, I would greatly appreciate it.  Thank you

Does anybody know how to keep Adobe Flash player from trying to overthrow Internet explorer? Every FIVE SECONDS when I click the mouse or move to another site or page Adobe Flash wants to open the page and I have to click no EVERY TIME for THREE TIMES IN A ROW FOR EACH PAGE. When I check the box 'do not show this message again', it STILL does not stop. For months I have put up with this. Adobe offers no help, and when they did, their advice did not work. The ONLY way I get it to stop, is to uninstall Flash - then I cannot see anything when on good pages. I was told there would be an update to V10 soon - where is it? I am really pissed about this. Anyone have a suggestion?I am operaating on 64bit Windows VISTA, and Internet Explorer 8. I've tried everything to daily reset of explorer back to default settings to end the conflict, but Adobe wants to open every single page, CONSTANTLY. I dont want to delete it, but that seems to be my only recourse. I need a good guru here! Thanks!

Two issues with Personal Messages in this foruma fellow member tried to send me a PM today, but got an error message that "the user does not exist" (see http://forums.adobe.com/message/2965689#2965689).  In fact I think that my mailbox was near full, so the PM could not be sent.  But the error message is definitely wrong; the user trying to send the message should get a better error, like "the user's mailbox is full" or something to that extent.because of the above I started to delete some messages in my Sent folder.  I could delete quite a few, using the checkbox on the right.  But then on the last page there were suddenly no checkboxes - see image below.why are there no checkboxes for some messages?how to delete such messages?

I have the latest version of Flash Player on my Mac OS X 10.6.4 Snow Leopard computer but I can't get videos to play.  I've read in Adobe comments that Flash Player 10.1 is not working on 64-bit systems (which is mine).  How can I get a version of Flash Player that WILL work on my Mac??  When I try to play a video from youtube.com it says I need to upgrade my Flash Player and to get it from Adobe (which I did but the 10.1 version doesn't work!!!  I'd appreciate any help I can get from anyone who can provide a solution.   Thank you.   Dave McCanna

I am the primary IT guy for a small not-for-profit. When I stepped in, they had just gotten rid of their old company who set up most of their computers, so I do not know exactly how they came to this (and I have never worked with contribute before).They use Contribute CS4 on Windows Vista SP2, and the main problem is that the Menu bar shows the entire file extensions to each item, so for the "File"option, it reads, "Configuration/Menus/ccmenusxml/menu/DWMenuFile/File" and so on with each menu item.How can I reset the defaults on this? It is frusterating having to resize the window just to see all the menu items. They would rather not reinstall Contribute if they don't have to.Thanks,Trevor

I produce a web television show and need a solution for automated playback. I have 18 1 hour shows that I want to play at specific times throughout the month. Does Flash with actionscripting make this possible, or is there another solution available within the Adobe Family of Products? I have the Adobe Creative Production Suite CS5. Thank you in advance.

When I attempted to log on to the Adobe forums the other day, I got the message:It appears your account has been disabled. You might contact your administrator if you think this is a mistake.I had to create a new user name to access.Although I don’t have a huge number of postings under my belt, I did have an account on the Adobe forums for around 10 years, and It is annoying to have to create a new username to get on here.

Hi,I have always been a huge fan of adobe but currently I am in a bad situation and I need your suggestion.I am now put incharge of the video editing department, where our company make videos and send it to clients. It's a multinational company so imagine the professional customer.The Videos will include Power Point presentation capture with Audio and a huge amount of Video Camera movies.Our Company Manager suggesting Camtasia, Sony but I heard Adobe has a very good product as well.Kindly suggest what Adobe Product and Version can support my requirement and also is it better and easy to operate than the above two products.Thanks...Waiting for your honest replies...

I got a new computer running Windows 7 and have been using Windows Live Mail.This is where I get my e-mails for updates to messages on this forum.The link for the message thread has a link that includes the # sign with the correct message to go to on the page.Now with Windows Live when I click the link it leaves the number after the # sign and just goes to the top of the thread instead to the exact comment.I can copy and paste the link into a browser and it works fine but if I just click it it does not work like it used to with Outlook Express.Any ideas if this might be fixable.Thanks:  GLenn

While visiting the forums, a pop-up asked me if I wanted to complete a survey on the Adobe site.I said yes, but it then requested I enable javascript and immediately froze my browser (Firefox 3.6.3). In fact I had to restart the computer to resume my work in the forums.

I just purchased and installed CS5 Production Premium but now Quicktime is not running correctly.  Symptom: say if I go to YouTube, the clips don't appear, just the audio, and the toolbar does not show all items.  If I click on the blank picture, the clip plays in full-frame only.  On other sites, clips do not even show up as full-frame, but audio is okay.I'm running a mac clone: plenty of power and storage.  OS 10.5.8.  I updated my Mac software, but did not cure it.  Any suggestions?

I'm still using Developer Toolbox, it's really a time saving extension for Dreamweaver, now that Adobe discontinued why not releasing it as open source to allow users increase/revive it?Being discontinued means no market for Adobe.I'm really sad about the fact that they disontinued this really useful software.Or at least make it CS5 compatible.eng. I prefer to use Opera as a browser.There seems to be some sort of conflict though. I cannot post to any Adobe forum in any reasonable manner from Opera.When I press return, the current line moves DOWN and the next line appears ABOVE. Somehow doesn't fit known (at least to me) reading conventions.Any comments welcome.
