Junk mails?.

Hi,

I received too many emails for the thread titled "Banned Participants Question". The sender's name looked like, MonteCristo (followed by some numbers)?.

Had this occured to anyone???.

Yes everybody and his brother, sister, father, mother, aunt, uncle, Grandmother, Grandfather,Great Grandmother, Great Gandfather, cousin, nieces and nephews.

They would be more effective to bann his ISP or Server. And pass the owrd on to ther companies about his actions. That way effectively he would have no internet access.

, they would have done it long ago. However, this a good example of how pointless it is banning people for ever. You may have noticed that Ramón, Buko, Kath, ... , have not come back at all, and I'm sure they wouldn't even dream about doing so. They may be as outspoken as you like, but they are correct people. And we have most probably lost all of them for ever.

Sign-up blocking by IP address is part of every forum software. This is the easiest way to prevent hundreds of repeat posts by the same Chinese spammers peddling pirated and/or useless video conversion software. It is also the tool that would stop trolls like our friend "turdie" (or whatever its name is).

Normally such a block can only be set by forum admins, not moderators. But it appears that they are very reluctant to use it; it seems that banning real people is more important than blocking spammers and trolls.

Yes, it would have happened to anyone that was subscribed to the thread.

The offender is a person that is banned time and again and logs right back in with a new identity. Just ignore and delete the messages. That's what I do.

Wonder if adobe has considered banning his IP address as opposed to his email address.

And if his ISP compalined becuae other share the same address. That way his ISP could deal with him.
