let Premiere users know about a useful third party product
There’s a paid third party software, Syncalia 3, that has been incredibly useful to me. I wanted to let Premiere users know about it but wasn’t sure the right way / right forum in which to share the info. I work on documentaries and often run into situations where there’s verite footage by multiple cameras that are supposed to sync with each other (and with separately-recorded sound) but there’s no timecode or timecode that doesn’t match, no clapper, no camera reports explaining what clips are supposed to sync with which other clips, etc. The software isn’t expensive and I think knowing that it’s an option would be helpful to Premiere users.
I took a look at the Adobe Community Guidelines / About third-party content / Non-Adobe Products:
- It provides a service not offered already by Adobe / fixes an issue that Adobe doesn't offer a solution for:
Syncs dozens to hundreds of clips shot on the same day, sometimes using creation date metadata (if there’s no timecode), and keeping it sorted by camera/mic - Provide relevant context of why you're sharing it, and make sure it's directly related to the user’s question:
There isn’t a user question but I think this is something that would benefit a lot of Premiere users - Explicitly state that it's a paid product.
In what forum should I share this? Should I select “Ask a Question”?
