Little things annoy me

b Points

I don't like is this concept of "points". I really don't like the competitive energy of those points. I've been to non-business forums where people award each other "karma." It's stupid and can be petty when someone has more karma than others.

I have no idea who gives points to others, but I don't like them.

I wouldn't mind a record of when joined or how many posts, but I think that belongs in a profile, not next to the responses.

b Answering posts

Who marks a message as answered? As mentioned before, the OP could state the post is answered, but others could find a problem.

Will there be a way for the Forum Moderator to amend an answered post as "With Note"?

b Sorting the messages

Will there be a way to sort according to the OP? If not, it seems a waste of a column.

I'm sure I will have other issues that I'll add later.

    > only a fool has himself as a client when it comes to representing oneself in court.

But no-one is taking the matter to Court at this point.

The object of the discussion is to make sure that everyone knows about Clause 8 so that they DON'T fall into the trap of posting valuable artwork in the new Forums and get their lawful property stolen from them in the first place!

As it appears that you are merely an IT employee, and not a professional Artist or Photographer, I can't see why this thread should be of any concern to you unless you were hoping to push work in the direction of your Wife who "works in this area of the profession and is considered one of the best in this genre".

Ah, that must be it .

I don't understand how that makes one an authority on legal matters.

"i'm not an attorney, but i sleep with one..."

    @Ann Shelbourne
Surely you've heard the expression only a fool has himself as a client when it comes to representing oneself in court. It's best to stick to what you know then try to be a legal expert. Just because you think you can read a contract and understand the issues doesn't mean that you actually do know what you're talking about.

In this case you clearly don't, which you would understand if you had undertaken the effort to actually talk to an attorney whom specializes in Internet copyright and trademark law.

And I understand the situation far more than you could possibly conceive, as my wife works in this area of the profession and is considered one of the best in this genre.

To follow up on posts #76 & 78, in this thread we do not know what is actually needed yet, and the OP may become very happy not to have the OP taken at face value; such a thread could easily end in a single post with a very wrong answer, just leaving out the reservation, and a Right Answer mark:

Hopefully, the thread will grow to show.

    >Why these people simply just don't get an expert opinion from a qualified legal begal >

They don't need to because Adobe's current TOS, while perfectly easy to comprehend by any normally intelligent person (without benefit of "legal opinion"!), is unconscionable.

If you were a professional Artist, Author or Photographer, and your livelihood depended on income derived from your Copyrighted work, you would understand why the prompt resolution of this matter is of the utmost importance especially because people will shortly be able to post images directly onto Adobe's Servers (via these Forums) and, by doing so, will unwittingly give away ALL "Rights of Usage" of their creative work for all time without monetary compensation.

    Now do you understand?
