I was looking into alternative photo editing softwares and I came across GIMP. It's free and seems to have a lot of what Photoshop has.

I would like to know from all of you that has used Gimp and Photoshop which would you prefer if both were free?

Thank You.

    <quote>

    If Photoshop was free, it wouldn't be Photoshop - you would not have the extensive feature set, innovation, quality control, maturity of the codebase or market penetration. The millions of dollars of financial investment, critical thinking, extensive engineering hours and high quality user base is what makes Photoshop the product that it is today.

    There is no need to <quote> back from the Photoshop forum to this (still wrong) forum.

    Someone please close this topic!

    The Photoshop forums are here:

    This one is only for discussions on the forum themselves, not for specific products questions.
