Hi all,

i'm new here, so I don't know if this is the right tread for these kind of questions.

Well lets get to the point then,

about a day or 2 back my macbook broke down due to some water that fell on it.

I had a CS6 master collection for my education on there.

So I saved what I could from my harddrive, and since I didn't have money I had to buy myself a cheap windows laptop.

I installed cs 6 mastercollection pack again, but I can't use my serial that i bought?

is there anyway to change that, or buy myself a cheap platform changing package from adobe?

I still need the cs6 collection that i bought for the rest of the school year, and part of the new schoolyear aswell..

I'm sorry if my English isn't very good, i'm Dutch so it's not my native language.

Thanks in advance!

    Hi Tbrennnann,

John is right. Student & teacher editions are operating system specific, so since you bought CS6 Master Collection for Mac, you will be unable to install it on a Windows computer. I'm not sure if there's a crossgrade that will take you from one student & teacher edition to another, so you may have to purchase another Master Collection. A quick Google search found this for you: http://www.tech-crawl.com/collections/discount-adobe-for-student-teachers

    Price looks pretty reasonable.

If you ever get another Mac computer, you can install your original Master Collection on there since student & teacher editions are good for two installations.

This forum is to discuss the forums themselves, not products

Did you buy CS6 MC on disc, or by download?

Either way, I do not think you may use the serial number for one type for the other type

But, you might check with... Forum for Download & Install & Setup problems

    Ah, i'm sorry!

& I bought it on a disc since my school sold them trough a software company with the student discount on disc only,

so i'm stuck with a OSX disc and as i figured out a OSX key.

Go to one of the chat links and ask about a "cross grade" license

But, since you are education, your lowest price will "probably" be an entire new purchase, for the Windows platform
