My Cs5.5 Batch Capture keeps asking me to eject tape before it even starts, what do I do?

I try to batch capture or re-capture my footage on a higher resolution, and when it says insert tape and I press okay, it automatically says eject tape and it keeps coming up over and over again regardless how many times I press okay.

I have the latest Cs5.5 Premier pro and the camera I am using is a Cannon XL H1A. The fire wire seems to be working fine because the capture panel with the in and out time capture frames is up.

does anyone have any theories? I would greatly appreciate it. thank you
