Just reporting that the forums are terribly slow over here right now. And I apologize, but this slowness and our efficient search engine made it impossible for me to find one of the previous threads with similar titles...

In fact the forum crashed when I was posting a message at about 04:00 GMT.  I posting a reply to this link:

    <http://forums.adobe.com/message/3875109#3875109>

Now the entire thread has disappeared.  The email message I received is as follows:

I'm using DW CS3 (yeah, I know, but it's enough for the simple, single site I work on), and for each page, I use the "Page Properties" dialog box for two things.
    1. In "Appearance", the default font and font size
    2. In "Links", the link colors.

It's working flawlessly on every page of my site (40 pages or so), except on the home page.  I select the font and font size, click on apply, then click on OK.

Dialog box closes, and when I reopen it, the settings have not been saved.

What's with this? Any suggestions gratefully received!  Thanks

It just came to a complete standstill with the Site Area temporarily unavailable. And after that it seems to be fast.

Yes, I forgot to post that everything went back to "normal", although I cannot remember at what time.

Milder this week but very cold last week, even with some deaths.

As for the forums speed, it has been variable this afternoon.

Speed is extremely variable over here at this time, but mainly very slow...

The forums were unusably slow for about ten minutes just now, and then they were gone for a couple of minutes. They seem to be back to "normal" now.

Sorry, haven't noticed any slowdowns here, and no alarms from system monitors.

All I can say is that it wasn't my imagination. And while this happened, I did go to several other sites without any problem...

Hm, I have an idea what might be wrong on the Internet as a whole...  Today is IPv6 day, as I recall, and people across the world are trying extra hard to access things with the IPv6 protocol.  I'm thinking that might be confusing some routers all through the net.

    AAARRRGH!  S-L-O-W.....

This is a pathetic excuse for a group of user forums.  If our friends at Adobe are not going to change to something that works, then it would be nice to know.

Well, the fact that these forums have been powered by the 2.5.16 version of the software for over two years should be a hint. And I wasn't trying to be funny when I used the word "powered"; I took it from the bottom of the page.

About to do a full restart on the servers due to some node inconsistencies. Site will be down for a few minutes starting about now...

Speed in these forums has been extremely variable for about 20 minutes. There was even a lapse in which I could not connect to forums.adobe.com.

Well, it seems that reporting the slowness was all that was needed for correcting it... Nearly "normal" now.

Thank you for responding to the slowdown. Fixed it on my machine in AZ, USA too!

    Great work Claudio.

    Appreciated,
