Slow, slow, slow (III) !

The thread with this name that was closed with no explanation did serve a useful purpose, so I am opening a new one to replace it.

Speed is back to normal now, and if there was a shutdown, I wasn't here to witness it.

And what does this mean and what could explain such a difference?
    April 4, 2008
Your 5 and 6 compares to my 10 and 11... goes through the same servers getting to the front door. But yours takes like 3 times longer getting through the gates than mine does.

You want to look at the ms (milliseconds) numbers. Here's mine:

    2 8 ms 7 ms 8 ms 172.18.98.89
    3 10 ms 9 ms 7 ms 172.18.97.45
    4 13 ms 8 ms 13 ms 172.18.97.26
    5 8 ms 11 ms 20 ms 12.87.94.9
    6 21 ms 21 ms 19 ms tbr2.cgcil.ip.att.net [12.122.99.98]

And then the above message was posted in about one second...

By the way, I had forgotten:

    >I know you can't get all the way here, but folks might try doing tracert's to see if there are other slow downs in the system between them and the forum firewall.

Could you please explain a little? I would be willing to help, but I have no idea what you are talking about.
