The thread with this name that was closed with no explanation did serve a useful purpose, so I am opening a new one to replace it.

Speed is back to normal now, and if there was a shutdown, I wasn't here to witness it.

    >bout an hour away they do already have 6" of snow today.

Yup. We got plenty. About 6" with another 2-3 expected.

One weird thing I noticed a bit ago was, I typed my post, hit submit, it took me back to the thread but my post wasn't there.

When I went back to the thread list, it said that thread had one new message. It was mine.

I'm in Seattle. The schools are closed today. 4 to 6" of snow were predicted for this morning. It is about 2:15pm right now and it is 41F outside with puffy clouds and bright blue sky showing between the clouds. About an hour away they do already have 6" of snow today. Odd weather patterns we have here.

    >And I'm seeing about 3,000 miles east.

The weather must be clear in the west, snow or no snow, slow or no slow.

I have entered these forums some four times along the day (17:25 over here), using both Firefox in a Mac and IE on a Win machine, and have not noticed any slowness.

Today it is a bit slow for me under one account in IE, but with another account in FireFox it is normal. Same computer.

Good grief! The following message at the bottom of Safari is getting old.

    Contacting "www.adobeforums.com"

...and I'm still 40 miles west of Chicago. May I should move closer :)

    > Sorry, I'm not seeing any slowdowns at all (in Seattle).

Seeing major slowdowns about 60 miles south of there.
