Spell checking on Jive forums

OK, this may have already been discussed, but I swear I looked. I searched "spell check" and didn't find it. If I missed it, please just point me in that direction and lock this thread.

Thanks.

These are the Adobe forums. Why does the spell checker flag the names of Adobe products like "Lightroom"? Why are names of codecs or formats like tif flagged. Heck, why is "codec" flagged?

Why is Photoshop flagged if I type it photoshop? You know it is now a verb as well as a noun.

It just seems wrong to me that I have to look through a long post to find the errors only to find out that the only errors are names of Adobe products or commonly used words in a video or photo editing world.

Doesn't Adobe have any pull with the Jive folks at all?

    Steven,

This archived thread seems to indicate that specll checking is by browser only.

I missed it back then, but now a search brought it up.

    Jacob,

My spell checker works fine. It is just Adobe related words and video codecs, and the word codec itself (I know it should be all caps, but who bothers?).

I am not user my browser's spell checker. I am using the spell checker provided by the Adobe forum and this forum software should know that photoshop is not spelled wrong, neither is codec, or wmv, or jpg.

Yet all of them are underlined.

    I see, Steven.

I never use spell checking, so I thought the old thread (still) described the situation.
