Take a snapshot function not working

So I read the posts from snapshot and I tried the repair, reinstall and nothing. My document is not secured which means that should be able to do it. I need this function for my dissertation notes...

    I don't know what "Snapshot" is, sorry.

    And I don't know what Adobe design app or service you could be using for dissertation notes.

    Please be more specific.
