The orange blob is gone!

For the first time since SBS7 I opened the Adobe forums today, and the orange blob next to my account icon is gone.

To see my Inbox (or mod queue) I need to click on the dropdown right of the account icon and select Inbox & Activity.

Is this a temporary glitch or a permanent improvement?

OK, on investigation it's borked. The chinchilla that presses the notifications button has been eaten by the raccoon that sends the emails.

I now know (a) it wasn't something I broke, and (b) a fix is on the way.
