What does it mean to be a spectator?

I'm literally new here and I got an email saying I have ranked a ,"spectator". I'm abit confused.

    The ranks are just an indication of how much you've participated on the forum.

     

    They don't generally affect your involvement in the forums, except that you have to participate a certain (undisclosed) amount before you can edit your post. This is to prevent some unwanted behaviour by spammers.
