I have never seen you hesitate.

Let's have the earth scorching complaints now they might even help to abort "Lift-off".

I, on the other hand, have no such qualms.

But I'll reserve any earth-scorching complaints for after the actual launch.

Yes but how do you really feel Ann? :)

If anything is "unprofessional", it is that projected design for these Forums.

Tasteless; immature (Avatars? Unbelievable!); plug-ugly; a waste of space and your contributor's time; and, frankly, unusable.

But perhaps Adobe just wants to kill the Forums anyway and be done with it?

They are certainly going the right way about it.

And after everything that has been said about their last two disastrous attempts at re-designing the Forums they pig-headedly persist in going in the same direction?

    Incredible

I read in one of these threads that it does not look "professional" to have 2 different forum groups (MM and Adobe). But it looks to me that professional is not the criteria. Wouldn't it be more professional to keep the two forums and have them functional, clean and efficient.

Looks like the width for the left-hand column is fixed, so it will take up that amount of horizontal space anyway.

If that's the case, let's just hope we have the option in our user preference panels to choose not to have themor signature filesdisplayed.

I certainly appreciate the advance look but it confirms all of my worst fears. The idea of being able to award points is patently ridiculous. The look is way less professional and functional than the current look and why do we need space wasted for avatars.

    > "It's pretty evident that a lot of us feel this way."

I don't know if the couple dozen or so of us here who are actively participating in the discussions counts as "a lot", but the point is we ARE here, and paying attention.
