when selecting a topic and navigating to next page the topic is deselected

when browsing communities and selecting a topic, it gets reset when navigating to the next page. 

example in  Illustrator Community, I click on the sdk button on the top right corner and the topics get filtered, but there are more on the next page. so i click on the next page and "sdk" is no longer selected and i'm again looking at all topics. so then i have to click on sdk again. and if i want to go to the following page, then i must filter once again.
