Why do I get a mail when I posted something?

Two general community bugs/concept failures:

1. When posting a reply to any thread, the checkmark "Email me when someone replies" is activated by default. This only makes sense when I'm posting a new thread, seeking help. Else it should not be activated, so I can still set it when needed or, if I overlook, I will get mails over mails because I cannot unset the checkmark afterwards.

2. With the checkmark being set while I post a reply in a thread I didn't start I will get an email just because I posted my own reply. The header then basically says "You just commented in a thread you follow" - huh, what?

>the checkmark "Email me when someone replies" is activated by default

Adobe did not write the forum software, it is rented from another company... that default may not be changed, so you will just have to remember to always UN-check the option before clicking POST

Thanks, didn't know that this exists and where. That solves one half.
