Word (2007) convertion to PDF problem

When I convert a word document to PDF my pages go from portrait to landscape. I've tried various methods of conversion and get this every time. I've tried other documents and this doesn't happen. I've looked at the formatting characters and can't see anything that could cause this. any ideas?

Have you tried Save AS in Office 2007 to create a pdf file?  Microsoft has an Add-In for this purpose:

    Good luck.

Actually I foudn the problem through trial and error. Some of the Word cross-references had become corrupt for some reason. The problem only showed up when converting to PDF. What happened is that sections from the appendix would be copy/pasted into the main document at the point where the corrupt cross reference was. These sections had a different page format and therefore changed all the formatting in the document. Problem fixed by going through the word document and checking all the cross-references (removing and reinserting them).
