Question

Do we need to log in again if we change the license for the same user?

I plan to change the payment method for our corporate licensing plan. Bank transfer to credit card.
I contacted Adobe and they said it's not possible to change it; I have to cancel the current licenses and purchase new licenses with the desired payment method (credit card).
Since I will be using the same licenses and assigning them to existing users, will they have to log in again to continue using Adobe Acrobat Pro?

    Hi @サンドロ31213072rbvo,

Thank you for reaching out, and we understand wanting to confirm what the experience will look like for your users before you make changes to the plan.

To answer your question directly: yes, your users will need to sign out of their Adobe apps and sign back in with the same credentials once the new licenses are assigned to them. This is the standard behavior whenever the license type or contract on the Adobe side changes, even if the user's email address and the product (in your case, Acrobat Pro) stay the same.

Each user can do the following:

    • Open Acrobat or the Creative Cloud desktop app.
    • Go to the Help menu and select Sign Out.
    • Sign back in with the same email address they were using before.

    This is documented here: https://helpx.adobe.com/enterprise/using/licensing.html

A couple of things to keep in mind as you proceed:

    • You should go ahead with the recommendation our support team shared with you.
    • We would advise carrying out the cancellation and repurchase together with the support agent, so they can guide you through the timing and steps and help avoid any disruptions during the transition.

Please let us know if you have any further questions.

    Thanks,

    ^BS
