Can a High Rejection Rate Affect an Adobe Stock Account?

Hello everyone,

I have a question regarding Adobe Stock contributor accounts.

If a contributor receives a very large number of file rejections, can Adobe Stock block, suspend, or permanently close the account because of the high rejection rate?

I understand that rejections are a normal part of the review process, but I am curious whether there is any specific limit or threshold that could put an account at risk.

Has anyone experienced this personally or received any official information from Adobe about it?

I would appreciate hearing about your experiences and insights.

Thank you!

I believe that having an asset rejected due to "Quality Issues" or "Similar content in our collection" should not be a major concern. As it becomes increasingly difficult to get content accepted, these are simply risks we take when submitting new work.

On the other hand, content that is rejected for violating the platform's terms and guidelines can potentially lead to portfolio deactivation. In such cases, I do not think there is necessarily a specific number of violations that triggers action; rather, the severity of the violation is likely the more important factor.

Refusals come with the territory. But if more than 51% of your work is regularly being refused, you should step back and reflect on why.

Refusals are opportunities to learn from our mistakes & improve our approach.

Be selective when curating content for Stock.

    • Compare with competing Stock inventory.
    • Is this the best work you can do, or could this be improved?
    • As a customer, would you buy it?
    • What would you use it for?

A high rejection rate doesn’t appear to be grounds for suspension of your account unless you’re persistently violating the guidelines. However, you should question how much of your effort in creating these assets is wasted when they’re rejected. Your goal should be to try and improve your acceptance rate.

I know of no one here who is aware of anyone who has had their account deactivated due to a high rejection rate unless it was related to spamming to submitting too many similar or nearly identical assets in order to pad their portfolio.
