I've searched online, but can't find a similiar example. I want the site owner to be able to edit a certain part of script, so I have put a section in a .cfm file so it can be edited by the site owner. In the <script type=> tag I have put a <cfinclude> to the file, & then listed the rest of the script. It doesn't appear to read the cfinclude file, because if I paste that section of script directly into the rest, the script works online. Can I include a file inside javascript?

Hi, Can anyone take a look at this class file that's in the works, and help me understand why the onEnterFrame that's created in the startRewind() method is not working? Much thanks!

Documentation says, "Use allowscriptaccess to let your Flash application communicate with the HTML page hosting it. This is required because fscommand() and getURL() operations can cause JavaScript to use the permissions of the HTML page, which can be different from the permissions of your Flash application. This has important implications for cross-domain security. allowscriptaccess="samedomain" permits scripting operations only if the Flash application is from the same domain as the HTML page." Question is what is a "domain" for locally launched applications that run in the local-with-file-system sandbox ? If the SWF and its containing html file are in the same folder are they deemed to be in the same "domain". If they're in different folders are they deemed to be in different "domains".

hi all, have u ever experience this problem? I wrote a swf which loading bunch of external files (swf that contains sound file) like below: function soundSetup() { for (i=1; i<=numItem; i++) { for (j=1; j<=subItem; j++) { var obj = eval("core.set_"+i+"._"+j); str = "1_2_"+i+j+".swf"; loadMovie(str, obj.clip); core.LP.core_btn.onRelease = function() { }; obj.core_btn.onRelease = function() { itemOnRelease(this); }; } } } it works completely fine as a standalone file, it also works fine when i play it in Dreamweaver, but when I test on just the html, I can't hear the sound anymore, the code is just like normal: <object classid="clsid 27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000" codebase=" http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=6,0,29,0" width="500" height="410"> <param name="movie" value="../swf/1_2/tones.1.2.swf"> <param name="quality" value="high"> <embed src="../swf/1_2/tones.1.2.swf" quality="high" pluginspag

I am using Flash MX2004Pro, and have come across something that is driving me bonkers. I have a preloader set up, and it seems to be working correctly, however, once it is done, and the page in question comes up, the image for the preloader is not vanishing, rather it is sitting behind the image, though still visible. my code is: var myMCL:MovieClipLoader = new MovieClipLoader(); var myListener bject = new Object(); MyMCL.addListener(myListener); myListener.onLoadProgress = function (target_mc, loadedBytes, totalBytes) { _level50._visible = true; var preloadPercent:Number = Math.round((loadedBytes / totalBytes) * 100); _level50.preloader.gotoAndStop(preloadPercent); } myListener.onLoadComplete = function (target_mc) { _level50._visible = false; } I don't see anything wrong in it, and have another pair of eyes look it over. That person suggested that I change _level50._visible to preloader.swf._visible ... only that doesn't work either. Does anyone have any ideas?

Hi, I am adding two float numbers that return an incorrect result. Here is what I am doing... var simpleMath:Number = Number(parseFloat("110.50")) - Number(parseFloat("107.10")); alert("Simple Math=" + String(simpleMath)); The result I get is... Simple Math=3.40000000000001 How is this possible? I have tried... var simpleMath:Number = Number(110.50) - Number(107.10); var simpleMath:Number = 110.50 - 07.10; var numba:Number = 110.50; var numbb:Number = 107.10; var simpleMath:Number = numba - numbb; They all give the same result... When I try this: Final_Payment.text = Number(Total_Payment_Due.text) - ((Number(Payment_Count.text) - 1) * Number(Payment_Amount.text)); Where Total_Payment_Due.text = 110.50 and Payment_Count.text = 36 and Payment_Amount.text = 3.06 I get this result: 3.39999999999999... Can someone please tell me what I am going wrong. Or is there problem with actionscript/flash... I am using Cold Fusion 7.0.1 and actionscript inside a Flash Form savecontent vari

I am trying to find the average call length in our database of support calls by using "SUM(calltime) AS time_total" and then dividing that by the number of incidents. The field I am searching on, calltime, is short integer. If time_total is more than 32,767, it returns either an error or a negative value depending upon the version of the database I'm using. I understand why this is happening, but can't figure out how to fix it. I can't change the database; it's enormous. Is there some way to specify that time_total needs to be a long integer?

I have been using this code to grab the column headers from a select * statement. (I never know what table will be queried out of 12,000 or so. I want to loop through the column headers and then the query results in to a web page table. <cfoutput> <cfset colHeaderNames = ArrayToList(recordset1.getColumnList())/> #colHeaderNames# </cfoutput> Is there a similar method or any suggestions for outputting the results of the query - now that I know the column headers?

I have FMS2 installed. I have Dreamweaver 8. My path to the Applications folder in FMS is the default. My webserver has a folder that I am publishing my HTM and SWF files to. (the applications folder is NOT in the web accessable folder). My .flv files live in Applications/App_Name/streams/_definst_/something.flv I am guessing that App_Name is my Application. Which of the above would be my instance? What would my stream name be? Given this path, what should the URI be that I put into the Insert Flash Movie dialog box??? Any help would be great. Thanks,

Here is my code: on (release) { fscommand("exec", "AcroRd32.exe"); } With AcroRd32.exe stored in a directory named fscommand. When I click the button nothing happens. Why doesn't this work?

When I try to Print documents from RoboInfo using the Printed Documentation from the Single source layout, RoboInfo is being disconnected and I have to restart RoboInfo again. This started happening after I installed RoboInfo 5.0 I know this is RoboHelp but sometimes they have the same problems and resolutions.

How do I go about accessing the verity status structure keys? There is mention of this in the CF Documenation, but no example of how to dump or show the results. The keys are: found - The number of documents that contain the search criteria. searched - The number of documents searched. Corresponds to the recordsSearched column in the search results. time - The number of milliseconds the search took, as reported by the Verity K2 search service. suggestedQuery - An alternative query, as suggested by Verity, that might produce better results. This often contains corrected spellings of search terms. Present only when the suggestions tag attribute criteria is met. keywords - A structure containing each search term as a key to an array of up to five possible alternative terms, in order of preference. Present only when the suggestions attribute criteria is met. keywordScore - A structure in the same format as for keywords, except it also includes Verity-reported weighted values from 0 to

Hi, We are developing a site in CFMX 6 and for some reason the session variables we set are not carrying over to other pages in the site. For example, we have put the following code in each page in an attempt to figure out what is going wrong: <cflock scope = "Session" timeout = "30" type = "Exclusive"> <cfif IsDefined("url.category")> <cfset session.siteCategory= #url.category#> <cfoutput> URL Category Defined Block: URL = #url.category# <br /> Session = #session.siteCategory# </cfoutput> <cfelseif IsDefined("session.siteCategory")> <cfoutput> session is defined block #session.siteCategory# </cfoutput> <cfelse> <cfset session.siteCategory= "all"> <cfoutput> In Default Block #session.siteCategory# </cfoutput> </cfif> </cflock> This code basically says that if the session is defined, do nothing. Each new page accessed is not reflecting the updated session variable value that was u

I have a query that I wish to sort. However, everytime I sort the query a couple of the string columns get truncated to 2 characters. Here's an example of the query. The name column gets truncated. <cfquery name="tmpQrySort" dbtype="query"> SELECT * FROM tmpQry ORDER BY name </cfquery> Yes, this is still on a CF5 environment.

Greetings, I'm running CF MX7 and am using XMLparse to parse the following XML code. XMLparse works fine and returns the proper structure (or so I thought). The description tag starts out with "Trout (" and then the inline strong tag surrounds 2 sets of text. with " and " in between, followed by a ")" at the end. The structure for description clumps all of the text not with the strong tags into one XMLtext field ("Trout ( and )" ) and has two child nodes for each of the strong tags. I can parse everything out but cannot output the text in the proper order. I've parsed this XML with stylusStudio and it properly creates 3 description fields with the proper text within them and 2 strong fields. Shouldn't XMLparse also be returning 3 description elements as well? Thanks for any information...

Has anybody seen this behavior before and if so, is my IT guy right that RoboHelp is the cause? Whenever I try to work with images (saving them after creating them in PhotoShop, or importing them in to Dreamweaver or FrameMaker for use in our docs), whatever application I'm in freezes up. This does not happen in all folders containing images - sometimes I can work with images in a particular folder for several hours, but then, all-of-a-sudden, the folder will become corrupt and every time I try to import an image from that folder, or save an image to it, the application I'm working with (Dreamweaver or FrameMaker) crashes. And if I try to get in to the folder via Windows Explorer, that, too, will either crash or freeze up whenever I try to launch the offending folder. The IT guy at my company says he's seen this before on machines that have both RoboHelp and FrameMaker installed. He says RoboHelp does not play nicely with other applications. But I find that hard to believe. Here'

Hi everyone, This is my first post here so I hope I'm not annoying you with a dumb newbie question. I searched the forum but didn't find any clue to my current issue. Right now I'm using ColdFusion 4.5.1 and I don't have much experience using it. I need to include a file (a web page) that is stored on another company's website. I wanted to use the Cfinclude tag because I'm used to proceed this way in PHP but it doesn't seem to be possible to include a distant file using the Cfinclude tag because it doesn't allow absolute path. Is there any alternate way to include a distant file into a Cfm page ? Thanks for your help ! Have a good day 😉

Page 492 of the "Using Flash" book says, "If you use JavaScript and Flash on the same page, Java must be running for the fscommand() function to work." Do they really mean Java (i.e. a JVM installed and running on the machine) or do they mean that JavaScript must be enabled in the browser"?

I can't see my error in this code to save my life. The error I'm getting is: Error Executing Database Query. I'm using an Access database since the application is on a special server w/ no other types of database available. I'm sure I'm must missing something simple that I can't see after looking at it for so long. Such a basic thing yet I'm totally blanking on it. hello folks, can you please point me in the right direction: I have the following actionscript on a single layer, single frame movie; there are no symbols used...I am trying to draw a right angle with an animated line...I want the second line (y-axis) to start to draw after the x-axis is drawn; instead they both begin to draw at the same time... _root.createEmptyMovieClip("lineTest", 1); var currentX:Number = 100; var currentY:Number = 100; function drawX(){ currentX = 100; currentY = 100; drawI = setInterval(drawF, 10); _root.lineTest.lineStyle(3, 0x43E5E5, 10); function drawF() { _root.lineTest.moveTo(currentX, currentY); currentX += 1; /* trace(currentX); */ _root.lineTest.lineTo(currentX, currentY); if (currentX>=300) { clearInterval(drawI); }; updateAfterEvent(); } } ; function drawY(){ currentX2 = currentX + 200; currentY2 = currentY; drawI2 = setInterval(drawF2, 10); _root.lineTest.lineStyle(3, 0x3F3F3F, 10); function drawF2() { _root.line

For a calendar application I have different structs: The "DayStruct" that contains all assignments for the days of the month, e.g. DayStruct - struct 19 322 25 321,319,318 which means on the 19th of the month for which this struct is valid (only one month shown in one request) I have 1 assignement on the 19th and three on the 25th. Then the "SpecialDayStruct" which contains the days which can have more then one shift, e.g.: SpecialDayStruct - struct 25 26 which means: on the 25th the specialday with the ID 26 is active. In the specialday table is defined how many assignments and shifts are needed for this day. Finally "AssignmentStruct" which contains the detailinfos to the assignement: whichb user is assigned to which shift: AssignmentStruct - struct 318 AssignmentStruct - struct assignment_shift 1 assignment_userfamilyname User assignment_userfirstname Admin assignment_userid 2 319 AssignmentStruct - struct assignment_shift 1 assignment_userfamilyname Meier assignment_userf

I have a dynamic text on a canvas with html enabled. If I set the font (garamond) at design time to bold, the text is displayed when I run the movie. However if I set the text to bold at runtime using actionscript textBox.htmlText = "<B>bold text</B>"; the text does not show. What seems to be the problem? I have embedded the font into the dynamic text.
