animate flat design confetti

Hi

Does anyone know how to animate FLAT DESIGN confetti explosion. I don't want to have any depth to it. I want to make it explode n then float down. See attached image

You can do that with any of several particle effects. After Effects includes several particle effects (like CC Particle World, Particle Playground, and others).
