Multiple Viewports

I have been playing with the multiple viewports, and Ive been able to get multiple views of a selected comp, (very handy for working with 3D layers) but is there a way to have different comps in the multiple views? Example: a main comp and a Pre-comp, to make adjustments in the pre-comp and see the results in the main...

    If you look in the top left corner of the composition window you'll find a padlock icon. This will enable you to lock a comp viewer to a specific composition. You can then work with another timeline. It's called : "Edit this, look at that" ETLAT : )

    One thing to note: you'll find that changes won't update until you release your mouse button...
