continually rasterize / blend modes

Ive kind of painted myself into a corner-

In my project i have graphic elements made in illustrator, and I am using continually rasterize throughout the pre-comps, because i need them to maintain their integrity at different scale levels throughout the animation. My plan was to use multiply to composite over the final background, but with CR enabled, the blend modes are disabled. Motion blur is also not an option, so I stuck on what i can do here...

Yes, collapse transformations is looking at the layer itself and not the settings on the precomp layer. So, for any layer that needs motion blur, you need to toggle it on that layer inside the precomp. Alternatively, you could use an adjustment layer with CC Force Motion Blur in the main comp (depending on the movement, this may work just fine).

That switch isn't just continually rasterize; it's also collapse transformations. So, you need to turn on motion blur and the blending modes for the layers inside the precomps too. This likely won't have the result you intend, so alternatively, precomp them with the transformations applied and then set that new precomp to multiply.

Sounds like it makes sence- heres a grab of my project structure-

"whiteboard BG" is where all the elements are collected and where the bulk of the animation happens - this is where i need the multiply over the background. "Camera Comp" is my final renderin' comp, the layer will move around and follow the action. This is where i need the motion blur ( if just a little )

Do i understand correctly, that if i turn the MB on in all the layers of all the pre-comps, it should become available in the final?

( thanks for the help, btw, I try n think ahead for these things lol )
