Character Animator is installed via the Creative Cloud apps catalog or desktop app, and is available as part of an All Apps plan.
To update to the latest versions of Character Animator:
- Open the Creative Cloud desktop application.
An update to this application might be required before you can proceed to the next step.
- In the All apps section, click the Update or Install button for Character Animator.
If Character Animator is not listed, choose Help > Check for updates.
If a Preview or Beta version of Character Animator is currently installed, Character Animator will not appear as an update but instead as a separate app to install.
When Character Animator is installed, Adobe Media Encoder is also installed to easily render movies of your scenes.
After Effects no longer automatically installs Character Animator, so install it separately if needed.
