CS3 (Mac) "Start-up Error: Required resources are missing"

I'm trying to uninstall CS3 apps to migrate them to a new machine (need to work with legacy files) but the installer/uninstaller gives immediate error: "Start-up Error: Required resources are missing". I get the same error with both the original install disks and the downloaded installer from Download CS3 products.

Download and install Dreamweaver CS6 Download Adobe Creative Suite 6 applications

3 0day trial. restart. Install Photoshop CS3. can then uninstall Dreamweaver.
