Can I run Photoshop 5.0 on Windows 7

Can I run an older version of Photoshop (Photoshop 5.0 limited edition) on Windows 7? If not what is the oldest version of Photoshop I can run on Windows 7? I know this is really old. I was in the graphics industry for many years, this is an older version I've had and it will do everything I need now that I'm not using it profesionally, just really like the program and want to use it for personal stuff at home.

Long answer: No. The first version to be officially supported on Win 7 was CS4. CS2 and CS3 may work also, but with possible issues and limitations.

If you are just using it for fun, you might find Photoshop Elements sufficient for your needs and the price might be right. In fact there is a summer promotion for Photoshop and Premiere Elements for $99.

I have the same question as you did. Did it work for you or did you buy Photoshop Elements?
