I migrated to a new macbook pro... none of the adobe products worked... says "licensing for this product has stopped working"
so I did everything listed on this page... "Error "Licensing has stopped working" | Mac OS"
none of it worked and last "solution" was to uninstall and reinstall creative suite.
now when I try to uninstall I get the message "Startup error: Required support files are missing"
well no kidding, as the "Solutions 1-5" instructed me to delete folders... I replaced them all where they came from and still I get the same message that files are missing.
So I can't launch what's there and can't uninstall to fix the problem... HELP PLEASE

Steps which often work in these situations:
- Run the Adobe Cleaner Tool
http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/cs5-cleaner-tool-installation-problems.html - Reboot
- Reinstall CS4 (don't migrate anything from your old Mac)

Thanks for responding so quickly... I tried to run the "Adobe Creative Suite Cleanup" it won't launch. Do you know how to manually uninstall all the files?

No idea, I'm afraid. The Cleaner tool has always worked for me. It's very thorough.
When you say it won't launch, what exactly happens? Any error messages or codes?

no error message or anything... simply doesn't open anything... so frustrating... i've been at this all day... on with the "chat" people twice and they're no help. But I was able to get a phone number that I will try in the morning. What are your thoughts on reinstalling overtop of who's there already? As in, skipping the uninstall completely, as I'm unable to do it anyway. Goes against my grain, but I'm getting increasingly desperate lol!

Have you first tried re-booting - then running the Cleaner Tool before you do anything else?
If no go then, for sure, try re-installing on top. Nothing to lose.

Yes, I tried rebooting and the cleaner tool still wouldn't launch... which got me thinking maybe the cleaner tool itself is damaged... so I downloaded the cleaner tool for CS5 hoping it would work for CS4 and LO AND BEHOLD!!! it worked So.... I was able to uninstall... then reinstall and all is good! Thanks for your input John, I do appreciate it.
