Norton Security Suite (Norton 360 Comcast version) says Adobe Creative Cloud install app is a virus and won't allow install

Situation: initially got an error with no error number that said Adobe CC did not install properly. Asked if I wanted to repair it and I executed the repair routine. That failed. Searched on the web and it said next step was to uninstall the app and reinstall it. I did the uninstall and downloaded the Adobe CC app installer. When I clicked "run," Norton tagged it as a virus warning and would not allow the install. I didn't override Norton and canceled the install.

I haven't run Adobe CC Cleaner yet. I want to find out first if anyone else is experiencing this problem. FYI: Running Windows 10 latest build; Norton is up to date. Lightroom CC Classic and Photoshop CC are running without problems.

Thanks for all guidance.

LarryER, sorry you are facing errors when utilizing Norton 360 and the Creative Cloud application on Windows 10.  I have a similar configuration on my personal Windows 10 laptop and have faced no errors with updating or installing Adobe Creative Cloud software.

I would recommend you run LiveUpdate every day to make sure Norton 360 is up to date.

If you face any difficulties with the reinstallation of the Creative Cloud desktop app, then please see "Failed to install" error received when installing Adobe Creative Cloud desktop app which provides for solutions to resolve most errors with the install process.

Please update this discussion if you have any additional questions, LarryER. http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/failed-install-creative-cloud-desktop.html

Thanks Jeff. I checked with Symantec and the new version of the CC app hadn't made my Norton antivirus (Comcast, not Norton 360) whitelist yet. The CC app installed fine today. I appreciate your quick response.
