This is an older thread, but I'll re-purpose it
I'm running the latest version of Win 10 ( 9.6.16 )
Have installed the full Adobe Creative Suite 3 Design Standard and have it registered. It works fine.
Am attempting to install the upgrade to Adobe Creative Suite 6 Master Collection.
We have executed this install in the past on two workstation w/o trouble. One in-office and one at home. We are not using them concurrently. I've recently reformatted my home computer and added a SSD. Again, CS3 installed fine, but having trouble with the upgrade.
Entering the upgrade serial number produces this message "Serial number you provided is valid, but a qualifying product could not be found on this computer"
Another forum thread said we should enter the serial key for CS3 here. I select Adobe Standard Design CS3 and enter the CS3 key. I get this message. "The serial number is not for a qualifying product. Please try another"
What am I missing?
Is there a way to register if I install as a trial first?
THANK YOU
Issue was resolved by chat support.
A challenge code produced by the installer was given to a technician who then returned another code which allowed for installation.
The technician said:
Because your CS3 serial number is Volume License serial number, that is the reason you are not able to use it. So as an Exception we can do this Challenge code method. Volume License is License key which can be used by multiple persons like in Office, school, etc. But your CS6 is Retail version, which can be us

Branching to a new discussion.
SarahB123123123 you will want to enter the serial number from the previous Adobe software title that you purchased prior to Creative Suite 3. To qualify for the upgrade price you would need to own a previous full version serial number. You can find details on how to locate your registered serial number at Find your serial number..
If you are unable to locate your previous version qualifying serial number then please contact our support team directly at Contact Customer Care and be prepared with any alternate e-mail addresses or phone numbers that were utilized to register the Adobe software.
If you have any additional questions you are welcome to update this discussion.

CS3 was the original software purchased. It was the full Adobe Creative Suite 3 Design Standard. Upgrading to Adobe Creative Suite Master Collection
Referencing the original post : I select Adobe Standard Design CS3 and enter the CS3 key. I get this message. "The serial number is not for a qualifying product. Please try another"
Your suggestion to contact Customer Care is null since the only support provided is the forums. Phone is not an option and no email address or chat is provided.

SarahB123123123 the reason you continue to be routed to the forums is there are no software titles registered under the e-mail address/Adobe ID you are using to post to this forum.
You can contact our support team directly at Contact Customer Care . Please be prepared with any alternate e-mail addresses or phone numbers you would have used to register your software.
Once the registered serial numbers are located you can then verify that is the same number that you are entering.
