can't reinstall CS6. Error 16

Community Beginner ,
Apr 09, 2016 Apr 09, 2016

I had to restore my iMac and in the process my CS6 no longer worked. The message I would get when I tried to open it is "

Please uninstall and reinstall the product. If this problem still occurs, please contact Adobe technical support for help, and mention the error code shown at the bottom of this screen.

Error: 16"

I have reinstalled the product twice but each time with 1 minute left to finish the install, at 99%, the CS6 disc is ejected and I get an "Application cosed unexpectedly"

Any ideas?

I have CS6 not Creative Cloud.

Thanks

Backup Adobe apps wont work properly .

If you had restored using Time Machine backup or any other backup utilities, it is better you uninstall all Adobe apps and manually remove Adobe related files and folders and perform clean installation. it shud work.

Thanks for the info. It was a combination of removing all files, restarting and then giving permissions to the Adobe folders. Photoshop CC then came up as BUY, so I had to quit Photoshop again and go back into Creative Cloud, this time I saw the BUY was replaced with OPEN. It then worked.

Thanks for taking the time to help out!
