Illustrator se bloquea al abrir un archivo y no encontrar las fuentes

Buen día,

La cosa es sencilla, si trato de abrir algún archivo del cual no tenga alguna o todas las fuentes (tipografías) illustrator automáticamente se bloquea y no puedo hacer nada, ni cerrar la ventanita de alerta que indica que faltan fuentes (si se pudiera podría seguir trabajando), literalmente toodo illustrator deja de funcionar.

La solución que tengo por ahora es ir pensando que fuente fue la que se pudo haber usado e instalarla para ver si coincide, o preguntarle a la persona que creó el archivo me envíe todas las fuentes que usó. Obviamente no es una solución, pero es lo que hago para poder seguir trabajando.

Desde hace ya varias versiones anteriores viene pasando este problema.

Hi there,

I am afraid I do not understand your query. As per your query Illustrator crashes whenever you try to open a file. In that case, I would request if you can share a few more details like:

  • OS(Exact version of Windows/MAC)
  • Exact version of Illustrator
  • Could you please confirm where the files are saved(Network Drive/ System HDD/ Shared Folder on System /External HDD).
  • Does it give any error code?
  • When you say Source, do you mean some third party plugin?

As I read the OP, Guillermo has the issue with documents where one or more fonts are missing, leading to crashing instead or just giving a missing font(s) message and substituting.

Illustrator se bloquea cuando trato de abrir un archivo al que le faltan fuentes (tipografías).

  • Sistema operativo (OS): Win 10 Pro 2018
  • Versión de Illustrator: 2019 última actualización (pero el error no solo ocurre con esta versión, sino desde versiones anteriores)
  • Almacenamiendo en Disco Duro (HDD)
  • No da ningún error, porque cuando va a aparecer el mensaje de "fuentes (tipografías) faltantes", se bloquea automáticamente todo Illustrator.
  • No uso ningún plugin para Illustrator.

Me pasa lo mismo y lo que hago es ir al administrador de tareas de windows, forzar el cerrado de Illustrator y luego, para volver a abrir el archivo que quieres ejecutar, buscar esa tipografía e instalarla, todo esto antes de abrir el archivo que se bloquea, claro. Por más que busco por internet respuestas, no veo solución por ahora. Espero que te sirva de algo 😉

Encontre la solucion por si a alguien le sirve.. cuando abres un documento con fuentes no instaladas la mayoria de veces se bloquea el illustrator.. pero  hay unas pocas veces donde da la opcion de cerrar el recuadro que aparece de "fuentes no disponibles".. cuando les de opcion (tienen que intentarlo varias veces..) marcan la cuadrito de abajo que dice "don´t show on document open.. "

Hola compañeros de diseño, saludos desde Cali, Colombia! 

Tienes un problema muy poco frecuente que puedes "solucionar" de la siguiente manera.

1- Cuando te suceda el error, abres el administrador de tareas y fuerzas el cierre del programa dando clic en (Finalizar tarea) /Botón que se encuentra abajo a la derecha.

2- Abres de nuevo el archivo que te generó el problema de fuente, y, cuando te salte de nuevo el aviso de "Fuentes no disponibles" verás que ya se podrá interactuar con el, por ende, marca la casilla que está abajo a la izquierda (No mostrar en el documento abierto).

 

Quizas eso pueda ayudarte!
