I tried ti import my RW2 camera (Lumix) raw files into Lightroom 4.4 and simply couldn`t do it. Also I had jpgs in the same folder and Lightroom didn`t bring them in at all.

What can I do? Is there any ways or settings? Does Lightroom 5 see RW2?

Thanks

That camera requires at least Lightroom 5.3. If you must stick with Lightroom 4 then you will have to use the DNG converter version 8.3 or newer to convert your raw files to DNG. The better choice would be to upgrade.

Which camera model are the RW2 files from? Presumably a Lumix.

Supported cameras are listed here together with which version of Lightroom supports them:

What Jim said.

Either:

  1. Upgrade to Lightroom 5 then open the RW2 files in LR5, or
  2. Download the free Adobe DNG converter, convert all RW2 files to DNGs then edit the DNGs in Lightroom 4

Depends on what camera took the photos.

You probably need to use the free Adobe DNG Converter (version 8.4) to convert your RAW photos into DNG, which can then be used in LR4.

Also I had jpgs in the same folder and Lightroom didn`t bring them in at all.

In Lightroom Preferences, General tab, check "Treat JPEG files next to raw files as separate photos"
