Question

My Elements organizer can't find my edited photos after I save them under an new file name

My elements organizer can find all my photos except my edited ones.  The folder which I save the edited Photos is in my pictures folder right beside all my unedited folder.  My edited photos won't reconnect and when I try to do it by searching for the folder myself, the options for the photos folder doesn't even show up.  Not sure why elements organizer can't find the edited file name and I can't figure out how to find my edited folder manually through the organizer/ reconnect photos option.

    Hi,

After editing the picture in Elements Organizer, when you save the picture, you will find 2 options at the bottom of 'Save As' window:

    1. Include in Elements Organizer

    2. Save in version set with original

Please check the option 'Include in Elements Organizer', and you would be able to see the image in your catalog in organizer.

Also check the 2nd option, if you want this image to appear as version set with the original image.

    Thanks,

    Somya

If you are creating a new document by re-naming Organizer won’t know about it. You would need to import from the new folder.

The simplest method is to Open from Organizer and save in the same location as the original. When you finish editing use:

    File >> Save As

Check the box to include in a version set

Elements will automatically re-name by adding the word edited followed by a number. You can change that if preferred, to any name of your choice.

When you close the image in Editor after saving and return to Organizer you will be able to expand the stack to see both versions side by side.
