Photoshop Elements 10 not recognizing RAW files in new camera

I recently purchased a Sony RX100 III (DSC RX100 Mark 3) and discovered my PSE10 could not open the RAW picture files on this camera.  I then discovered there were three upgrades to PSE10 for camera RAW that needed to be installed (6.5, 6.6, and 6.7).  All three of these upgrades said they supported my new Sony camera.  However, after installing the updates, PSE10 still says it does not recognize the RAW file for this camera.  Can anyone advise as to what is going on here?  I hate to think I have to purchase a later version of Photoshop Elements, such as 15, in order to process the pictures from this new camera.  Thanks.

Peru Bob, thanks for the info.

John Waller, here is the link that we thought said our camera was supported:  Adobe - Photoshop Elements : For Windows : Camera Raw 6.5 update for Elements 10.  In the second paragraph, it said to go to the "Camera Page" to get a complete list of supported cameras.

OK thanks.

So the impression you got was that by installing Camera Raw 6.5, you would get support for every camera listed on the main page, including your new Sony RX100 III?

Yes, that was the impression we got, but obviously it was incorrect.  With the following statement:  "Support for the following camera has been added in this update. Visit the Camera Raw page for a complete list of supported cameras", the second sentence made it seem that the cameras listed was a partial list, with the remainder of the supported cameras to be found on the referenced "Camera Raw" page.  Apparently that was not the intent of the second sentence, guess we misread what was being stated.

That's useful feedback for Adobe. Thanks.

I don't work for Adobe but I'll try and make them aware of it.

Out of curiosity, can you point us to the links which gave you the impression that PSE10 can be upgraded to support your new Sony camera?
