most of our company computers are offline.

so how do we get the new camera raw 7.2 update?

until now they were always released as manual downloads.... now i have to read this from adobes blog:

Camera Raw 7.2 – Please use the update mechanism in Photoshop CS6

http://blogs.adobe.com/lightroomjournal/

does that mean there will be no manual update anymore or is it not up yet?

How to obtain Adobe Camera Raw 7.2 (Tested on Windows 7x64)

You will need a computer with internet connection.

    Start Bridge

Go to Help and click Updates

    Adobe Application Manager will start

To make things easy go to preferences and in the "Only show updates for the following products" list select only "Photoshop Camera RAW 7" (Don't forget to check the others back after you finish!)

    Click OK

Now in the Updates list you will only see Photoshop Camera Raw 7.2

    Click the update button

After it downloads the update it will ask you to close Adobe Bridge to continue DO NOT CLOSE ADOBE BRIDGE! Just leave the window opened.

Open My Computer and navigate to

    C:\Users\YourUserName\AppData\Local\Temp\Adobe\AAMUpdater\PhotoshopCameraRaw7-7.0\7.2.82\Setup

(If you cannot see the AppData folder you will need to check "Show hidden files, folders and drives" in Control Panel -> Folder Options -> View tab)

In the Setup folder you will find all the files needed to install camera raw to another PC without internet connection. So just copy the Setup folder where you need to install camera raw.

    Hope this helps!

Thanks SoftTester, but you might note, this only works if you have CS6

When will the camera raw update be available for CS5, or is this Adobe's way of forcing us to upgrade to CS6.  I have LR4 and camera raw in CS5 now doesn't match the latest LR update.

never.  for ACR 7.x you need CS 6.

So, in other words, I should not have updated LR4.  Thanks Adobe!

How about using one of the computers that is connected to the Internet, downloading the update file and putting it onto a memory stick. Then pass that to all the users not connected to the Internet?

    please read my posting again.

that is exactly how we have done it in the past..

but.... how can i download a file that does not exist on adobe servers?

    http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/product.jsp?product=106&platform=Windows

there is no manual update file for ACR 7.2 we could download.

i hope the manual update is just not on the server YET.... otherwise i don´t know why adobe is not releasing this as manual update anymore.

ACR 7.2 has not been released by Adobe, that's why you don't find it at the normal location.  ACR 7.2 Release Candidate is available from Adobe Labs.  Release Candidates are early releases so user can check it out and report errors to Adobe for correction before the production release.  It was available from Adobe Labs on August 27, 2012.  Go to

    http://labs.adobe.com/downloads

Then click on Photoshop Camera RAW 7.2 under Digital Imaging.  You can install this the regular way and use it until the Production Release is available, which will just replace the Release Candidate when you install it.
