Hello,
My Canon XA25 records AVCHD with LPCM audio. I was reading that Adobe no longer encodes/decodes Dolby audio. I don't believe my camera records in dolby as it is LPCM audio. Am I correct to assume that I will no audio problems if I upgrade from 2017 to 2018 cc?
If not should I transcode to DNXHD? Should I transcode to DNXHD regardless? Just curious

If you are on the 8.1 or later Windows version, or the last couple Mac OS's, then Dolby decoding is covered by the OS (most of the time) and you're probably fine even with ac3 audio.
With LPCM, you should be good to go period.
However ... when upgrading versions of PrPro/AE/Audtion whatever ... ALWAYS check the 'advanced options' box, which takes you to the only option in that dialog: "Remove previous versions". UNCHECK that, so your previous version is still there. And maybe even copy the program folder or 'package' to a second disc before updating/upgrading.

You will have no problems with the audio as LPCM is no Dolby.
