MXF file export issues

Hi, first time on here so forgive me if this has been asked before.

I am importing MXF video files from a Canon XF200, doing a little bit of colour enhancement then exporting the file at 50p to an AVI format file.

All plays back OK with great colour but the movie looks as though it has been shot through a dirty filter whereas the original is clean and clear.

Is Premier Pro doing something it shouldn't or am I not doing something I should?

Any help you can give would be appreciated.

Many thanks.

JD

Wmv is a bit of the past.

If its for YT then choose H.264 and select a YT preset.

Also turn of Render at max depth and if you have a dedicated gpu turn off Render at max quality.

Please post export settings with left tab to output with an image.

How exactly are you viewing the export?  What codec and settings are you using for the .avi file?

My sincere apologies, it is WMV not AVI (sorry but first time of using Premier Pro). Movie is shot at 50i but PP pulls it in at 25 fps and even if I try to export at 50p I still get this strange effect almost as if the file has been compressed way too much and starts to pixelate. I did try an AVI file but all I got was sound and no video, so far nothing is working as PP keeps seeing this as a 25fps video.

Really stumped as to why that is.
