"MXF decode error" in Premiere Pro 2018-Compatibility Issue?

Hello,

Is there a possibility that Premiere Pro 2018 is not compatible with MXF files from a Canon XF100?

I have an importing issue into Premiere Pro CC 2018, version 12.0.0. Mac 10.11.6, El Capitan

When I import files shot in the Canon XF100 from a brand new card (or other cards), I get 1) duplicated files, 2) a warning, and 3) an error message "MXF decode error". Loading the clip(s) on the viewer shows a red flash frame here and there.
The clips seem usable (but not 100% sure) as I am able to place them in a timeline.

Recently, I have had similar results with importing other clips from the camera via Import / file or via Media Browser / import / file.
Initially, I thought it would be the Canon XF100 camera which records MXF clips. The camera was recently serviced by Canon and they said it is fine and no software needed to be up to date. I had these issues before the camera was serviced and now as well after I have just done this test.
See screengrabs. What to do??

Previously, like a year ago or so, I didn't have these issues with this kind of files coming from the Canon XF100. But maybe I wasn't using Premiere Pro 2018. Did Premiere Pro 2018 stop being compatible with MXF files? I really don't want to have to convert the clips.

Another test the Canon tech told me today is to try open the clips in VLC and see if there are issues there. Well, there are no issues playing them in VLC.

I am playing the footage in the XF100 camera to see if there are playback issues but I haven't encountered them yet.

I would appreciate any feedback you may have. I have a shoot soon and I must resolve the situation as editing will need to be done quickly and delivered asap.
Thank you very much!

It's not your camera its Premiere pro cc 2019!

I think they (Adobe) changed the import sequence settings in this version and it's affecting files using the MXF format.

the way I have got around it (Painfully slow!) is to open the original XMF files in Canon's MXF Utility program see link at bottom

Then export each takes one at a time into its own unique folder.

This will work only if the folders do not have more than 1 MXF file in each folder if it has then you may then be able to separate them and put them into subfolders and try importing them individually as such.

This should not be happening these are professional cameras all pro brands using MXF should be down on Adobe pressing them for an answer so far we have nada and this issue has been known of for over a month now.
