Question

2FA - Adobe Account Access

Maybe this is not the best way to start into this community, but I have to rant.

Unfortunatly I disabled my 2FA because I wanted to use my Yubikey in future. Until now I was able to use my third party 2FA app (OTP Auth).

And now I find out that I cannot use third party apps anymore? I am forced to use "Adobe Account Access" app? A whole app for a 2FA which works only with Adobe? Sorry Adobe, this is not acceptable.

Give us a QR code so that we can use our own apps.

Best,

Matthias

No, there's no 3rd party auth app option

I had been using the app happily and successfully for a while but now it says that my Device (mobile phone) doesn't support the app, or the other way round..  I've checked and it does seem to meet all the requirements (it's a Motorola G60s) and it worked before so why not now?  I tried clearing both the cache amd the data, I even uninstalled and reinstalled the app, but still it doesn't work.

Hopefully someone from Adobe is watching and can answer this.

shut off your mobile and then restart it.

if that fails. uninstall the 2fa app and then reinstall it.

To my great surprise, having followed your advices, the app is now reinstalled and working.  Not sure what, if anything, I did differently - maybe it was just the order in which I did things this time - but at least it's working and I must thank you again for your help.

Still, it remains a puzzle as to why the app kept telling me my device was not suitable.

that's good news.  and thank you for the update!

i agree, but adobe's not the only culprit. i have 3 2fa apps on my mobile. and at least, adobe prompts their own app when i need it so it's quick and easy.  for my other sites, i have to find the right authenticator.

p.s. i think you can use email for 2fa with adobe (though that's obviously not as desirably as using a mobile app).
