Adobe Customer Service Rep Scam
Hi,
Just wanted to let some of you know that some of Adobe's Customer Service Representatives are slimey and are possibly committing financial scams/crimes.
I called wanting to cancel my yearly subscription that I forgot I had until I saw the money removed from my bank. I called 3 days after it renewed and the website says you have 14 days to cancel and get a refund.
The first man I talked to tried to sell me on a deal where I would get my $647 back but then be put on a "special plan" where I would pay $350 a year. I said no, I don't use this service anymore and I would like a ful refund. He puts me on hold, comes back with another deal for $24.99 a month. I said no I want to cancel and a full refund. He put me on hold again and when he came back he said "his team said we could not do a full refund or anykind of refund" because it has to be within 14 days of the subscription. I told him that's why I was calling, because it had only been 3 days since the subscription renewed and thats how it works. He told me no, I had to cancel 14 days after my first purchase over 3 years ago. WTF?! I explained the situation again to him and he said he cannot do that, no refunds.
So I hung up and called someone else.
I told the next guy I wanted to cancel and recieve a full refund of $647 since my subscription renewed 3 days prioir and that I meant to cancel it before it renewed. He put me on hold and came back. with a "special deal" since I've been a customer for so long (for $34.99/mo this time). So its all a salespitch where they come up with whatever they think is a good offer to keep you as a customer...
Anyway, I said no and that all I want is to cancel and get all of my money back. He puts me on hold, then comes back to tell me that my subscription is cancelled and that I will get my money in 5-7 business days. Awesome!
So why did the first representative lie to me? Even after I read the policy to him? Seems like a scam to me. Has this happened to anyone else recently?
