Cancel an annual subscription, monthly payment.

I recently purchased a monthly subscription that turned out to be an annual subscription, probably due to my oversight or due to Adobe's complex and confusing purchasing or plan-changing process. The specific plan I purchased is the Photography plan (20 GB), bought on May 4th, 2023. Since my intention was to purchase a monthly plan that allows me to use Photoshop, I bought this one, which seemed reasonably priced at only 12 euros instead of 24 euros for the base plan.

After the month passed and I finished the project I was working on, I tried to cancel the plan in the last few days so that the automatic payment for Photoshop wouldn't deduct any more money from my account. It was then that I noticed Adobe was asking me to pay an early termination fee, which I didn't understand the reason for. I thought I had to wait until the end of the subscription, so I waited until today, the 4th, thus losing another 12 euros.

Today, I also attempted to cancel but without success because it still asked me to pay an early termination fee. That's when I started searching online for the reason behind this and how I could resolve it. It was then that I discovered it was actually an annual subscription, and if I canceled it after the 14-day period, I would have to pay a penalty. I apologize for my oversight, but I also have to express how difficult and complex Adobe's new subscription system is. Within the purchase plan, it showed an annual payment of 145 euros per year and a monthly subscription of 12 euros per month. I thought that since it was a monthly plan, I would be able to cancel the subscription at the end of the month.

I spent a couple of hours searching for help, but I couldn't find anything that could assist me with what I need. In the end, I found nothing in Adobe's support system, so I finally came here to the forum to ask for help. I wanted to know if it's possible to cancel the subscription from this plan without paying such a hefty penalty. Thank you for your understanding.

The process is criminal. I waited 6 months to cancel the subscription because I was finished using their services and, saw no way of opting out of auto renewing. They told me I received an email prior to renewal of another annual plan but I received nothing and now when I try to cancel I have to pay a whole years worth of early termination fees. Even trying to contact their support they insist on extorting money from me to terminate using a service I've not used in over 10 months...

Same thing happened to my pet insurance but that company revoked my insurance and refunded my money no questions asked and on the spot.

It's a disgrace.  The infomation provided by Adobe is deliberately obscure.  Basically, it is an annual subscription, but with monthly installments.  Adobe 'big-up' the montly bit, but not the annual lock-in.  You can get out early, but there is a substantial penalty payment.

it's not basically "an annual subscription with monthly payments".  it is exactly an annual subscription with monthly payments.

it's not much different than an apartment or auto lease.

First of all, thank you for responding. Unfortunately, when I access the links you sent me, something else comes up. There are links that lead me to tutorials already written on how to solve the problems, but none of them are helpful to me. Now I'm attaching some screenshots. (I LIVE IN ITALY)

    Screenshot_16 is the first link.

    Screenshot_17 is the second link.

You have to provide me with value for me to start paying a monthly subscription. This is not even something that I really find anything on. I have no clue why it is just really Adobe.
