Hallo everyone,

I have one-year prepaid individual creative cloud membership, and it will auto renew soon. But, i want to cancel my subscription.

I tried to go to 'plan page' and find no 'cancel button', I click the 'manage' plan and still couldn't find the 'cancel button'.

How do i cancel my subscription????

Sorry to hear you want to cancel your membership.

You'll need to click on Manage plan, IF there is no cancel button you'll need to contact Adobe directly.

To contact Adobe:

Keep in mind that you will not receive a full rebate on the outstanding membership fee if you signed up for an annual membership. E.g. you'll have to partially pay for the remaining months still. An annual membership is based on a lower per month cost, and when you cancel before the end of membership date, you'll still incur a partial charge for the remaining months, that is based on the monthly membership fee as far as I'm aware.

It doesn't matter if I still in charge for the remaining months, my subscription will end by the end of this month anyway.

Hi Cari Jansen, are you an adobe employee? I need to cancel my subscription now. Can you help me?

There's no cancel button! How could it be? Such a bad user interface!

I already contact to adobe support but no response yet? Bad customer service!

Unfortunately I can't organise the Cancellation for you as work as a volunteer on the forums.

Have you tried this:

  1. Go to this web-page: support
  2. Under  1. What can we help you with, click on Account Issues.
  3. Under 2. What type of issue are you experiencing, click on Cancel my membership
  4. At the bottom of the page that appears, click on the blue Show me my contact options button.
  5. You'll then see 3. Would you like to contact us.
  6. Click on Chat, and stay online and submit your request. Make sure you have your Adobe ID ready to provide to the person, and let them know you want to cancel your "one-year prepaid" membership.

The person answering should be able to do this right there and then for you.

Adobe is doing all they can to prevent us from leaving. Even removing the cancel subscription button during the period in which they can do this free of charge. This is the biggest reason I'm giving up on Adobe. Money grabbers.

Hi Abambo, I think you are missing the point... Contacting Adobe can be done but when you give customers a self management section but don't provide them with the ability to leave, that is business trickery 101.

Even more interesting twist to this, I am in the same position as posters above however last month the button was there, because I started the process... This month is the beginning of my last month with the annual plan, I get the email telling me the plan is going to auto renew for another year on 05/03/19 and amazingly, the button is removed. More evidence that this is entirely an attempt to make it difficult to opt out of the annual cycle.

Quite disgusted Adobe... Shame!

Abambo, if you are not an Adobe employee, please accept my sincerest apology for jumping on your post.

I’m not an Adobe employee.

There is a cancel button, I’ve used it before and it works. If it doesn’t work, there is a problem and you need to contact customer care. Some countries, however, do not have a cancel button, for a reason unknown to me, but probably due to legal restrictions. Also, when there are payement issues, the cancel button gets disabled at least for some products. Those are my information, I never experienced this.

I do not miss anything. You are assuming that Adobe hinders you to cancel your plan. But they don’t do. There are 2 possibilities:

  • Your plan is canceled, so there is no reason for having the cancel button
  • There is a problem of whatever and you need to contact customer service.

In both cases, if in doubt, contact customer service. Do it!

No problem! As stated, Adobe likes to keep their customers but not to the point that Adobe does make it impossible to exit the contract. If it is not possible, there is a problem and that’s why customer service is there.

And they are still doing it. This should be again the law to hide the cancel button, and then keep trying someone's account muliple times a week trying to get payment for an out dated product. And when you call all their sales tactics comes out and they are using Indian speaking call centre. Just goes to show what a rip off Adobe has become!

And to top it off most of the replies here are not even from company, it's from none paid individuals. Money grabbers dont seem to invest in people, just their own pockets. It would be better if you held me up at gun point. That is more straight forward than trying to cancel / use your products

these are user forums.  you wouldn't expect adobe employees here (though occassionly they will post in the forums).

make sure you're aware of the cancellation terms by selecting your plan type (at the top of the page here), https://helpx.adobe.com/manage-account/using/creative-cloud-subscription-terms.html

for info on how to cancel your subscription, this page describes the few steps involved, https://helpx.adobe.com/manage-account/using/cancel-subscription.html

if you want to cancel but are unable to follow the steps described in the "how to cancel page", contact adobe support.

there are 2 ways to contact adobe; chat and twitter (now x):

chat:
use a browser that allows popups and cookies, and click here, https://helpx.adobe.com/contact.html?rghtup=autoOpen
in the chat field (lower right), type AGENT
be patient, it can take quite a while to reach a human.

twitter/x:
tweet @AdobeCare

p.s. if you're contacted by anyone (via email or private message), it's much more likely to be a scammer than an adobe representative.
