I want to cancel my plan which I have been paying for 3 years, they still want to charge me for cancelling before my one year subscription. How is this right?
You may not remember, but a subscription charges 1/2 of the remaining time if you cancel early... you need to cancel right after your 12th montly payment so your subscription does not renew
Mads, thanks for posting your question to this public discussion forum. Please see https://adobe.ly/4hQalK3 for information about fees and charges that are applied when canceling an annual membership. I recommend setting a reminder in your calendar app if you want to cancel an annual membership without charge. ^JW

I too have this question and is wondering why it is informing me that I will be charged 250+ with just 5 days remaining on my subscription

250 what?
and there's no penalty for canceling an annual subscription 5 days before it ends.

Thank you, I was confused when I saw it

Ok, so it is charging me $275 for an early cancellation fee, however, my current plan comes to an end in 4 days. I don't understand when I entered into a new plan when my current plan is still active. It clearly says my plan will end on the next billing cycle on May 5th, so why am I being charged an early cancellation fee now?

copy and paste a screenshot (with personal info redacted) of your account page, https://account.adobe.com showing your subscription end date.

Same experience. I think many were caught off guard to this practice. On the surface it looked like a month to month subscription, but if u look deeper it is annually. So misleading.
Even chatting with the agents, they reassured u that u can cancel 1 month before next renewal but it didn't happen. Chat with another agent o clarify why didn't I receive any email with regards to the cancellation, the agent said check back with them one day before the renewal. Adobe reputation is at stake. Integrity, honesty and transparency.
I will never touch Adobe again. So sorry, I have terminated my card linked to the account. I might make a formal complaint and also to the relevant authority with regards to such practices.

you need to check your spam folder for the adobe email that is sent ~1 month before renewal.
or just set your own reminder after the 12th payment is received.

Hi 5..4u,
As mentioned by our experts, you get a renewal email before the plan renews. In case you missed it, kindly cancel your plan with help from steps shared here: https://adobe.ly/4mtbw4P;
Hope this helps!
Thanks

I have checked my emails and spam/junk mails daily. But still no emails, I still trust the first time the agent said. 1 month before renewal, an email will be sent to unsubscribe without any fees. Then after a few days of checking, no emails.
The second time another agent told me to wait till 1 day before the renewal. I told myself, how can I trust 😂. Just terminate you card. The end.
Because of this, the experience is gone. I used to subscribe to Adobe Lightroom many years back, no such issues when I stop the subscription. But now, it has changed. In future, I will look to other places for photos or video edits.
