Question

Cancelling a subscription for an account with deactivated email, forgotten password

I am currently being charged monthly for a plan I cannot access.

The email associated with the account is deactivated (it was a school email), and I can't remember the password. So currently I cannot log in (don't know the password) or reset the password (the link to do so is sent to a deactivated email).  The chat bot is not helping and it won't connect me to a live agent. Any tips on how to solve this?

Hi @Colin38098605lwg0,

We do not see any active subscription listed under this email address. Were you using a team's license from school or were you using a individual license with Student teacher's discount plan?

Have you contacted our support team yet?

Looking forward to your response.

Regards,

Shivangi

For you, it is too late, but that is exactly the reason, why there is the possibility to enter a secondary email in your account data.

Without a paid subscription, the bot is a bit tough to connect with an agent, in which case it is worth stating that you want to buy a plan. That works everywhere... 🙂

there are 2 ways to contact adobe support; chat and twitter (now x):

chat:
if you have or want to purchase a subscription, use a browser that allows popups and cookies
and click here, https://helpx.adobe.com/contact.html?rghtup=autoOpen
in the chat field (lower right), type AGENT
be patient, it can take quite a while to reach a human.

twitter/x:
tweet @AdobeCare

p.s. if you're contacted by anyone (via email or private message), it's much more likely to be a scammer than an adobe representative.
