deleting adobe account

Guest
Jan 19, 2025 Jan 19, 2025

I wanted to use Adobe app for one month only to do my homework. When I canceled my plan after one month, it tried to withdraw a very high amount of money and is still trying to. I am a student and I cannot pay this money. I want my account to be deleted and no money to be withdrawn from my bank account. Can you please do what is necessary? Or what should I do?

if you had an annual plan that you canceled after one month, there's a penalty.  https://helpx.adobe.com/manage-account/using/creative-cloud-subscription-terms.html

and you can't delete your account until your bill is paid: https://www.adobe.com/privacy.html

I cancelled my annual plan, but can I undo the cancellation and continue with my annual plan?

no, but you can restart your plan.  and adobe support may undo the cancellation fee if you contact support to do this.  there are 2 ways to contact adobe support; chat and twitter (now x):

chat:
if you have or want to purchase a subscription, use a browser that allows popups and cookies
and click here, https://helpx.adobe.com/contact.html?rghtup=autoOpen
in the chat field (lower right), type AGENT
be patient, it can take quite a while to reach a human.

twitter/x:
tweet @AdobeCare

p.s. if you're contacted by anyone (via email or private message), it's much more likely to be a scammer than an adobe representative.

For anyone else reading this
Please read everything so you know what you are doing before you buy a subscription
If you buy a HIGHER COST Monthly subscription you may cancel at any time without a fee... when you buy an Annual subscription with Monthly payments, and you do not cancel in NO MORE than 14 days from the start of your subscription, you pay 1/2 of the remaining time if you cancel early
When you 'click to agree' to the subscription terms while starting a subscription, that means that you really do need to read BEFORE you enter your credit card number to buy a subscription
-LONG discussion here, with link to Nancy O'Shea 'arrows' in subscription information
-And the difference between an actual Monthly subscription and Annual paid Monthly
My Oct 4 2023 reply here discusses the different payment plans

To add to what kglad said:

All student plans are annual commitments.

LATEST
  • You ordered the annual subscription.
  • You had 14 days in which to cancel without penalty.
  • Since you didn't cancel during the 14-day grace period, there's a 50% early termination fee.

These are the TERMS you agreed to when you joined:
