Disappointing and Impersonal Subscription Options/Services

I have used Adobe products in multiple capacities for over 15 years, and appreciate its powerful contributions to my professional and personal projects.

In recent years, with a myriad of rolling subscription brands/platforms overwhelming our budgets, it is appreciated when companies show consideration for the user's plan management experience. Unfortunately, this has not been the case with Adobe.

When selecting a monthly payment subscription over an annual payment, several of Adobe's services left me frustrated and disappointed:

A) If a person selects a monthly plan, they should have the option to cancel WITHOUT paying a remaining year's balance + interest. This option left me paying for a plan all year that I used at maximum 3 times.

B) When the subscription is coming to an end and plan soon to be inactive, the plan SHOULD NOT be automatically renewed without subscriber notice and confirmation- especially when there is language on a subscriber's account informing them their plan will expire.

The lack of personability over the last year has been discouraging and I will rethink subscribing with Adobe in the future.

The TERMS you agreed to are clearly stated below.

https://www.adobe.com/legal/subscription-terms.html

Anticipate your needs and choose the plan that best fits those needs.

  1. Annual plans cost less per month & your rate is guaranteed for 1 year.  But it requires a 1 year commitment from you.  To avoid early cancellation fees, cancel in your 12 month of service before it auto renews.  Set a reminder on your smartphone or Google calendar.
  2. Month-to-month plans cost more monthly and the price is subject to increase but you may cancel anytime you wish without penalty.

You could always wish to have this handled differently, but it isn't. Either you are a professional, and you are making money with the tools provided by Adobe. You could use alternate products, but I would guess that at one point, you will need to use one or the other Adobe product. Or you are a hobbyist which can choose whatever product you want. There are also some products available from Adobe on this behalf (Photoshop Elements and Premiere Elements).

A) if you select a monthly plan, there is no penalty for cancelling at any time. (if you see an annual plan with monthly payment, different story.)

B) adobe suggestions have greater effect if made elsewhere.

for applicable apps, you can make (some) suggestions to adobe here, https://helpx.adobe.com/ie/x-productkb/global/how-to-user-voice.html

for others, use https://www.adobe.com/products/wishform.html
