A local university student approached me offering some redemption tokens for sale. I was initially concerned about the legality of the act but then he even produced a chat screenshot with an Adobe agent where he explicitly confirmed that the sale of these tokens is valid.
Protect yourself by buying through normal channels. You have no way to know if these particular tokens are genuine, even if it is legal to sell genuine tokens.
PS The only places you can buy redemption codes charge about the same as a normal subscription. So there is no particular reason to buy them, except as gifts. If you are offered anything cheaper than the normal subscription price (US$55 maybe, per MONTH, for all apps), run away - there are no bargains, only fakes. The thing about fakes, whatever the morality, is that Adobe are on the look out for them, and you can find yourself suddenly blocked after a day or a few months, or even after years, losing your work).
